- MUST be entered into the KING OF THE BEACH Tournament to fish in the UNBOUND.
- Captain’s Meeting and final registration is August 1, 2024 at 6pm at Front Runner Boatworks – 965 Leonard C. Taylor Parkway, Green Cove Springs, Florida 32043
- Tournament fishing will be held on August 2, 2024.
- Awards will be held at 2pm on August 4, 2024 at Front Runner Boatworks.
- This is a BIG FISH FORMAT tournament.
- Live bait may be purchased.
- Live bait may not be transferred from boat to boat.
- Purchased dead bait is permitted.
- Pinning Live Bait up before the tournament day is permitted
- Winner is determined by heaviest fish, in case of a tie, the fish weighed first will win.
- You may leave from your inlet of choice no earlier than 5:30am on August 2, 2024.
- Fishing times are from 6:30am (lines in) and there is no time for “lines out”.
- You must be in line at the weigh in by 5:30.
- There are no boundaries for this tournament.
- All fish must be brought to the Northeast Florida Marlin Association to be weighed.
- Fish may be weighed by boat or vehicle
- All fish become property of the tournament
- All fish weighed or donated are appreciated and each fish donated will receive a ticket for the Golden Ticket Drawing held on August 4, 2024. You must be present to win.
- Scale will open at 3pm. All teams must be in line to weigh by 5:30pm.
- All fish must be caught on rod and reel, using traditional King Mackerel fishing methods.
- NO Electric Reels may be used to fight a kingfish to the boat. However, electric reels may be used to deploy and retrieve a fishing kite and a fishing kite only.
- Eligible fish to be weighed must be of legal size with head, gills, fins and tail intact.
- Any marks other than gaff marks will be evaluated by weighmaster and tournament committee personnel to determine eligibility.
- The fish must maintain the ability to a fair fight.
- Please remove all hooks from your fish.
- After a fish is boated, a photo with the tournament issued OFFICIAL Boat Number on the water must be taken as soon as possible.
- If there is no photo of the fish on the water with the OFFICIAL Boat Number, the fish will be disqualified.
- You must send the photo of your fish to Louis Joseph 9043345892 as soon as possible.
- Boats can win one prize in each category, excluding calcuttas.
- The tournament reserves the right to deny entry to anyone for whatever reason.
- All protests must be submitted in writing to the tournament committee with a $500 deposit within 30 minutes of the last fish being weighed on August 2, 2024.
- If the protest is upheld, the deposit will be returned.
- Captains and crews are responsible for following all Federal, State, and local fishing and boating laws.
- Any boat receiving a citation from a law enforcement agency will be disqualified from the tournament.
- All anglers on the boat must have a valid Florida fishing license.
- No boats may come together for any reason unless an emergency exists.
- Rules are subject to change at any time.
- Mason’s Voice Inc. 501c3 Non Profit will assume 10% of the entry and Calcutta fees collected.
